And, you can streamline security reviews by automating questionnaires and demonstrating your security posture with a customer-facing Trust Center, all powered by Vanta AI.

Every single day, a significant portion of my work day was being wasted.

I’ve had enough. I’m done with it! I decided to make a few changes and they’re making a massive difference. Here they are.

1. Put an end to task-switching

If you’re not familiar, task-switching is another term for multi-tasking.

Think about the time you were working on five projects at once.

Each time you switch focus from one project to another, your brain takes time to refocus.

Instead, do this:

  1. Exit out of all those tabs on your browser

  2. Block out time for one task

  3. Knock it out

  4. Move onto the next.

No more inefficient multi-tasking.

Another great way to prevent task-switching is the next tactic.

2. Only check your email 4x per day

You might think this is impossible.

When I first tried this out, I also thought it wouldn’t be practical.

However, I soon realized that 4x per day was PLENTY.

This is the realization I’ve come to after doing this for two months:

I’ve yet to receive an email that required a response within 2-3 hours.

Every single email could wait until my next email check.

So don’t interrupt your deep work by switching to your email tab.

Exit out of the email until it’s your scheduled email time!

3. Ask yourself “Who can I get to do this” instead of “How can I do this”

As a business owner, building a company that operates without your day-to-day involvement is paramount.

But here’s the problem. Since you know your company best, it would be faster and more effective for you to do the outstanding tasks.

You must resist this urge.

Working on lower-level tasks is an inefficient use of time.

Ask yourself “Who can I get to do this?” and free yourself up to focus on more impactful work.

And that’s all I have for you today! Implement these tactics for greater productivity!
